Airswift, a global manpower provider specializing in Energy, Infrastructure, and IT, is partnering with a major Oil & Gas operator to recruit a Construction Superintendent (Electrical) for a long-term onshore project in Qatar. This senior role is ideal for experienced electrical construction professionals with strong leadership, safety, and contractor management expertise.
Role Summary
The Construction Superintendent (Electrical) will oversee onshore electrical construction activities, ensuring safety-first execution, schedule compliance, and adherence to company standards while coordinating closely with contractors and internal functional teams.
Key Job Accountabilities
- Provide visible safety leadership and promote a strong safety-first culture
- Review and comment on electrical technical and project documentation submitted by contractors
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, and regulatory standards
- Apply contractual acumen when engaging contractors on schedule, technical, and cost matters
- Maintain effective communication with contractors and company teams (safety, quality, engineering, business)
- Participate in planning and risk assessment meetings, supporting schedule mitigation strategies
- Verify contractor adherence to safety processes through daily and weekly site walk-throughs
- Attend workface planning meetings, safety meetings, and toolbox talks
- Monitor and assure project schedule compliance, identifying construction constraints and mitigation actions
- Review daily, weekly, and monthly contractor reports to verify progress and performance
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 8 years’ experience on large construction projects in the Oil & Gas industry
- Experience across construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, and hook-up
- At least 1 year in a supervisory or oversight role, including management of contractors or vendors
- Strong understanding of electrical construction standards and onshore project execution
